Meg Zimont's profile

Printmaking & Book Arts

Fascinating Species
Accordion bound, letterpressed dry point etches of some of the plant and insects that I find most fascinating. This book functions more as an art piece which can be displayed standing up, with the aesthetic of a pocket size field guide.
Hand Bound Notebook
One of a series of hand-bound, saddle-stitched, blank-paged notebooks.
Giogalto Cookbook
Part of a collaborative project while attending the Santa Reparata International School of Art. This book uses an accordion spine technique, letter press and linoleum reduction prints.
Biographical Pop-Out Book
This book is an exploration into my own design process and an interactive demonstration of how I would describe myself as a designer: curious, critical, connected, clever, compelling and catalytic.

Linoleum Cut Calendar
A collaborative calendar with fellow artists at Santa Reparata. My two prints cuts--March and July--are pictured here. The calendar days are applied with a Xerox transfer technique. All pages fit perfectly into the encasement, with letterpressed detailing on the title page.
Playing Cards
Deck of playing cards with monoprinted backs, letter pressed jokers, linoleum printed numbers and drypoint etched face cards.
